Third time on the list: AirForestry selected for Norrsken100 2026
After recognition from Norrsken in both 2023 and 2024, AirForestry is once again named among the world’s most promising impact startups, now with results from the field to show for it.
Today, October 14, 2026, the Norrsken Foundation announced the Norrsken100 2026, and AirForestry is on the list. Norrsken100 is the foundation’s annual selection of the most promising early-stage startups solving global challenges at scale by outperforming the legacy models that created them.
This is the third time AirForestry has been on the list. In 2023, when it was still called Impact/100, AirForestry was highlighted by Atomico among the list’s top 10 and won the People’s Vote. In 2024 the company was selected again and received a recognition presented by HRH Crown Princess Victoria.
This year’s list was compiled from more than 1,400 nominations made by 80 hand-picked nomination partners, including leading venture capital firms, academic institutions and NGOs. The 100 companies come from 21 countries. To mark the announcement, the cohort is being featured on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, New York.
When AirForestry first made the list, the company had just completed the Norrsken Accelerator in Stockholm, and airborne thinning was still largely a concept on the drawing board. Since then, AirForestry has among other things completed its first full-cycle harvest of two consecutive trees and carried out its first autonomous harvest in the field. Most recently, the team carried out what we believe is the world’s first drone harvest of a tree in a real forest. Along the way the team has grown, and AirForestry now works with more partners and forest owners.
